We are a platform that connects older adults with trusted companions who live on site and provide light support. We match homeowners with spare rooms with vetted roommates who provide help around the house — like groceries, cooking, or errands — in exchange for reduced or no rent.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to help older adults stay in the homes they love — while giving trusted renters the chance to live affordably in San Francisco.
Every match is built on connection: lower or no rent in exchange for light support and companionship. This isn’t medical care — it’s about everyday help and human relationships that make life richer for everyone.
How It Works
Step 1: Apply & Tell Us About Yourself
(Profiles + verification)
Everyone goes through ID verification, background checks, and a short orientation.
Step 2: Find the Right Fit (Neighborhood + personality match)
We look at personality, neighborhood, schedule, and needs. You don’t just get a roommate—you get a compatible companion.
Step 3: Agree on the Exchange
(Clear, written agreement)
We create a written, clear agreement: e.g. 10–12 hours/month of support (groceries, errands, companionship) in exchange for reduced rent. Families co-sign if desired.
Step 4: Move In With Support (Welcome kit, checklists, starting strong)
We provide templates, checklists, and a digital “Welcome Kit” so both sides start off on the same page.
Step 5: Stay Connected
(Weekly check-ins, family dashboard, help accessing reimbursements)
Renters log tasks and share updates via our app. Families receive a dashboard or summary email so they’re always in the loop.
In the future, renters will receive resources to support older adults with navigating benefits — roommates can help older adults access Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements for eligible services like groceries, transportation, or in-home support. Our platform makes it easy to track these activities and connect families with the resources they’re entitled to.
Step 6: Grow Together
(Continue finding great housemates)
Young professionals often move (internships, rotations). When they do, families stay on the platform for a new match.
Older adults may need additional support → platform becomes the trusted place for next-level services (transportation, meal kits, vetted companions).
